"The bounds of Minus's creativity and ability to connect with a crowd seemingly don't exist. With an incredible energy and taste in floor-shaking beats, he drives smiles and great memories amongst the crowd. He loves what he does and it shows."

- Daedalus Nightclub, Washington D.C. -

From ecstatic dance events to festivals and clubs, Minus adores immersive sound journeys, free-form movements and celebrations where you can simply be yourself and experience rejuvenation through connection, dance and music.

As a young kid, Minus’s passion for music was evident at age 11, jumping on his grandmother’s piano every chance he got — terrorizing the house with obnoxious sounds and beats. Back in junior high, Minus would sneak on public transit to San Francisco or Berkeley, just to spend his days scouring through new music at his favorite record shops. It wasn’t long before he bought a pair of technic turntables and an old mixer.

After college, he moved to the East Coast, where he began spinning at clubs in Washington D.C. He was hooked yet conflicted with the demands of his full-time job in tech. He then moved back to Silicon Valley, where he built a few tech companies, spreading his work passion into various industries.  Simultaneously he was relieving stress with musical instruments, mixing, collaborating, and being inventive on the mixer — where his heart gravitates.

His love and taste for electronic music was originally inspired by Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Robert Miles, Blank & Jones, Anoushka Shankar, Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Knuckles, Carl Cox, Moby, John Digweed, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, Benny Benassi, and countless other amazing artists. Right now, he is smitten over the sounds of TROPO, Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray, Parra for Cuva, Porangui, and Joda.

When plugged in, it soon became evident that Minus is not just a DJ but also a lover of connecting, uplifting and cracking up the crowd. His intention, energy and warmth work hard to capture the emotions of many.

Still, Minus feels like he’s just getting warmed up. He is preparing an arsenal of explosive new material for the world. So be on the lookout for new material on the horizon in 2024 — taking his love to the next level.
